Discover Kos Lofoten

Svolvær's Coziest Café, Gallery and Adventure Hub

When you're exploring Svolvær, there comes a point where you'll want to slow down for a while. Whether you've just arrived in Lofoten, finished a hike, or are waiting for your next adventure, Kos Lofoten is the perfect place to relax.

Located on the beautiful island of Svinøya, surrounded by traditional fishermen's cabins and spectacular views across the Vestfjord, Kos Lofoten is much more than just a café. It's a place to recharge, discover local culture, plan your adventures, and simply enjoy one of the most scenic corners of Svolvær.

A peaceful escape in the heart of Svolvær

Svinøya is one of the oldest and most picturesque parts of Svolvær. Just a short walk from the town centre, the area is famous for its iconic red rorbuer, wooden drying racks, working fishing harbour and incredible sea views.

Many visitors stroll through Svinøya on their way to several of Svolvær's highlights, including:

  • The famous Fiskarkona (The Fisherman's Wife) statue.

  • The scenic Svolvær Molo, perfect for watching boats come and go.

  • The historic fishermen's cabins at the very end of Svinøya.

  • Beautiful viewpoints looking across the Vestfjord towards the mountains beyond.

On calm days you can sit by the window with a coffee and simply watch the world go by. Keep your eyes on the water too. Every now and then whales have even been spotted from the café.

Great coffee, homemade cakes and light lunches

Whether you're warming up after a rainy walk or cooling down on a sunny summer afternoon, we've got something for you.

Enjoy:

  • Freshly brewed coffee and espresso drinks

  • Hot chocolate and speciality teas

  • Refreshing cold drinks

  • Homemade cakes and sweet treats

  • Light lunches, sandwiches and snacks

Everything is served in a relaxed atmosphere where you're welcome to stay awhile, plan your next stop, or simply enjoy the view.
