We are excited to work with influencers who align with our brand and can help us connect with our target markets. To ensure a successful partnership, please review the following criteria before submitting your request:

Collaboration Criteria

  • Preferred Social Media Channels: Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with a focus on short-form videos (reels)

    • Minimum Followers: 10K on a single platform

  • Travel Blogs

    • 50K minimum UMV

  • Target Audiences: China, Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Italy and Australia

  • Engagement Rate: Minimum of 3% (= engagements/reach x 100)

  • Content should align with our content pillars (Soft Adventure, Photography, Nature, History, Culinary)

  • Multi-Platform Presence: Not mandatory, but preferred

  • Diversity: We seek to work with a diverse range of influencers

    • We are allies and friends. We want to work with folks from LGBTQ+, Indigenous, and culturally diverse backgrounds, folks with neurodiverse minds, and people with mobility, hearing, and sight challenges. 

Influencer Visit Support

We consider supporting influencer visits that:

  • Promote Lofoten and Svolvær as a travel destination, especially in shoulder seasons

  • Represent more than one travel/hospitality industry member

    • While we love a pretty picture (and there are ample opporuntites here in Lofoten), we prioritise opportunities that provide our members with exposure

  • Align with our values. Our destination - residents and businesses alike - all share three core values:

    Nature:
    Nature's unyielding power awakens our senses and compels us to explore, protect, and respect nature through responsible tourism.

    Curiosity:
    Adventure, exploration, and new experiences inspire us to deepen our appreciation and understanding of our environment, culture, and selves.

    Hospitality:
    We celebrate our role as both gracious hosts and grateful guests, to create a welcoming atmosphere and share our love of place.

    These values fuel our love of place and inspire us to share this special destination with the world. We hope that all our visitors share these too, and we want to work with influencers* who also value Nature, Curiosity, and Hospitality.

  • Highlight our main content pillars:

  • Provide at least three weeks' notice

Blackout Periods

Due to high demand periods, we’re not able to accommodate visits at certain times of year. Additional dates may be added due to business levels. Current blackout periods are:

  • 1st December through 15th January annually

  • Statutory & Holiday Periods

Summer (our busiest season!)

While we don't offer fully hosted visits during summer, we may be able to offer some level of support through our larger network of partners.

When We Need Your Help

Winter! Winter is November through April. Our focus is to promote the wonders of Lofoten.

What A Collaboration Could Look Like

Every request is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Some of the ways in which we could support include meals, lodging, activities or a combination of all three in partnership with other suppliers.

When You'll Hear Back From Us

Due to a high volume of requests, only influencers for which support is being considered will receive a reply. You will generally hear from us within two weeks if there's an opportunity to collaborate.
